He eyed her, he was happy that she seemed to be taking this well but on the other hand he wasn’t so sure he could trust her. After all she’s changed a lot. “Thanks that makes me feel better.” He gave her a small smile. It was hard to not think that he was speaking to the old Morgana the one who was a friend, the one that helped him, and the one that was able to convince Arthur to do things he couldn’t. “Are you doing okay? I mean…it’t be nice to have you back at the castle. It’s still a little weird without you there.”
Morgana nodded lightly, as she looked around where they stood before her green eyes fell back to Merlin. “I’m fine Merlin, and it is nice to be back.. I’ve missed being here, but with everything that has happened, and how easily I believe Morgause’s words, well I figured as well that I was not welcome back, not after all I had done.” She said as she looked down, keeping a low gaze and her mind at ease were not easy, she was pretending again. She hated to be this way, but it meant Merlin trusting in her, and what more did she need right now?
Merlin didn’t say anything for a moment, but he grabbed her hand holding it lightly. “I know deep down Lady Morgana everyone wants you back. I believe Arthur misses you and Gwen, well you were best friend after all. Even some of the nights, like Sir Leon I’m sure would be glad to have you back.” He wasn’t sure on any of this but being around his friends he knew like him, that they never really hated Morgana. They all felt more betrayed than anything.

Sounds nice, I wish I could go and do whatever I pleased. Instead I’m stuck here babysitting, King Arthur of Camelot. It’s really not as fun as people would think, though he really isn’t that bad once you get to know him.
King Arthur? I didn’t realise King’s were still around. I must’ve been hiding in a hobbit hole all my life. [she chuckles] What’s he like?
“Yep the one and only king.” He paused for a moment trying to think of the right words to say about Arthur. “Well he’s a prat like I said and he can be a jerk sometimes but he’s also brave, kind, he cares about his people a great deal, and he really does try to be a king that we all deserve. I guess in the end he isn’t so bad.”

He jumped slightly, he didn’t expect her to reach for him nor did he expect her to be talking so calmly. He was sure that she would always hate him for what he did, who could blame her though. Gazing at her his eyes bore into hers. “Are you sure? I did an awful thing to you.”
Morgana pulled her hand back when he jumped, her expression still soft despite her inner screams. “If things were the other way, surely I would have done the same, after all..you did what you felt you had to.” She said as she gave him a small smile.

“Yeah I do love a good joke, but as I stated before I’m not really good at it.”
“Me? nothing much. I just work for an annoying prat that makes me do his every bidding. What do you do?”
Well, you can only get better. [she grins]
A prat? Sounds wonderful. Me, I’m a free spirit, if you like. I’m not tied down and I travel where I please.

“I didn’t want to, believe me I regretted it the instance that I did. I betrayed your trust in a way I never should have, but your sister gave me no choice. Killing you was the only way I knew that could break the spell. By that time I knew for a while what you meant to her and that she would do anything to save you.” His eyes lifted up to stare at her once more, he was willing himself not to cry. “That doesn’t justify what I did, but that’s why I did it.”
Morgana watched and listened as Merlin spoke, his words having little affect to her, but she wanted to prove otherwise, after all he was her chain to Arthur, once he was out of the way, as well as the sorcerer Emrys, then she was free to kill Arthur and take her place on the throne of Camelot. Hesitantly she reached a hand out for his, trying to show something she had once maybe felt towards the servant boy. “I—well hearing you explain it, well that does help some.” She said softly.
He jumped slightly, he didn’t expect her to reach for him nor did he expect her to be talking so calmly. He was sure that she would always hate him for what he did, who could blame her though. Gazing at her his eyes bore into hers. “Are you sure? I did an awful thing to you.”

“Hi Dawn that’s a pretty name. I feel like I know you considering that I wake up at the crack of Dawn everyday.”
“Sorry bad joke.”
[she chuckles] You’re a joker, huh?
So what is it you do, Merlin?
“Yeah I do love a good joke, but as I stated before I’m not really good at it.”

Looking down Merlin avoided her gaze. “Actually it’s even more than that. When I look at you I see me. I see a person who is like me but who chose the wrong path. I was hoping talking to you would ease my guilt, but if anything it makes the guilt stronger.” He admitted more to himself than to her.
Morgana watched Merlin’s gaze lower, she couldn’t help and frown lightly, she had not expected this side of him. “Maybe you should have thought of that before you tried to kill me.” She whispered for fear that if she spoke normal her voice would have cracked. This damn servant wasn’t supposed to get to her! Not like this!

“No, I’ve never hated you. I’m not proud of the things you’ve done but I don’t hate you. I pity you more than anything.”
Her expression fell. “Pity, such a horrible word that is..and really what use is it? Anyways, what do you want?”

“Nice to see you as well, Lady Morgana. I trust you’ve been doing well.”
“Playing nice are we? And here I thought you hated me.”

Losing The Magic Touch || Merlin Open RP
A week, that’s how long he had been wondering in the woods. Lost, hungry, frightened, and alone. Not only that, but his magic wasn’t working as well as it should. His stomach grumbled he only managed to eat a couple of berries earlier that day. He didn’t know how much longer, he could keep up and it was all because he decided to go with the hunting party.
Instead of usually commanding Merlin to go on the hunting trip, Arthur offered to let him come. Merlin thought of refusing, but the thought something happening to Arthur without him there changed his mind. Things had been going as they normally did. Arthur, along with the other knights, were annoyed with him scaring away all the game. Then they got attacked, which wasn’t unusual since Arthur was the king, but they were easily out numbered. Soon they were left defenseless, running away from the enemy. Merlin had persuaded Arthur and the other knights, to go on ahead while he stayed behind to deal with the problem. That’s when things started going wrong.
Usually when Merlin got into these tight spots, he was able to use magic to escape. This time, his magic failed him. It didn’t work at all. The ancient words rolled off his tongue, but nothing happened. He was lucky enough to get away, but in doing so he found himself lost in a forest he didn’t know his way around in. Just as he was thinking this he heard a small sound. His head whipped around, the sound was getting louder and louder.
